Sotai Yoga has been hosting seasonal retreats since 2006.
They have certainly evolved since then and our retreats are now well known to be very rejuvenating.
A weekend away to truly unwind from the daily pace and immerse yourself in healthy life practices.
The venues chosen are always in a unique, peaceful bush setting to help you relax and find time for yourself.
Each season we offer you a chance to embrace changes for your life and wellbeing.

SPRING RETREAT

Spring is recognised in Traditional Chinese Medicine as the first of all the seasons so it focuses on new beginnings and new growth.
We shake off the winter coat and start to twist and unfurl our body’s in order to embrace more exercise and lighter, more cleansing foods.
The expressive Ki Yoga will increase your joint flexibility; cleanse the Liver & Gall Bladder to renew your eyesight for a clear vision of your purpose in life.
Spring Retreats challenge you to eat a little less to create space for your Liver to cleanse itself of toxins and fats. This season is the perfect time to boost your immune system and clean up your blood to put a spring in your step!!
This time of year will also bring out your cranky side so be prepared to let go of anger and or grumpiness to embrace feeling lighter, brighter and more mobile by the end of your spring retreat!

These weekends support your Small Intestine and digestive fire plus we strengthen your Heart with lots of laughter to lighten the upper body and bring more joy into your life.
Our focus is on connection. Creating a connection to our own heart’s desires and to support each other in connecting as a community.

AUTUMN RETREAT

During the Autumn retreat we invite you to experience the amazing life changing benefits of releasing toxins from your Large Intestine & clearing out your Lungs.
You will let go of old habits and digestive stagnation to restore clarity of mind, vitality of breath and optimism in your life!
The autumn foods are more contractive in nature to help assist your body to detox and release stagnation in the digestive system.
The Ki Yoga is tailored to ‘squeeze’ out excess toxins and mucus in both your lungs and large intestine so you will make better decisions for yourself and feel lighter and hopeful.
In Chinese medicine the lungs represent your destiny so it’s a perfect time to take a deep breath and take the plunge of trusting yourself to really “let go” of old ways to make space for new possibilities…

WINTER RETREAT

A rejuvenating weekend to strengthen your spine, calm your nervous system and to rebuild your energy levels.
The organs nourished during these retreats are the Bladder and the Kidneys which both govern your nervous system and your structure (bones, hair, nails, teeth and mineral content in your blood).
They also provide you with greater self confidence and an ease/flow of motivation and drive to carry you effortlessly through your days.
The wholefood organic meals and informative practical dietary advice during the retreat will help strengthen, stabilise and recharge your body in winter.
